The cause was a short circuit in the adapter
An original iPhone charger caused a fire in the apartment of a bank manager living in the center of Moscow, as reported by Mash.
29-year-old Dmitry received a call at work and was informed about the fire. Initially, he thought it was a prank, but upon returning home, he realized that the situation was as serious as possible.
Dmitry confirmed that it was an original iPhone charger, and explained to the police that he is not in the habit of taking the adapter out of the outlet when he leaves for work.
Dmitry's neighbors noticed thick acrid smoke from his window, called firefighters, who opened the door and put out the furniture fire in the room. Experts determined that the cause of the fire was a short circuit in the smartphone charger.
