An improvement was discovered in the Galaxy S24 smartphones, which Samsung was silent about. The developers have doubled the screen PWM adjustment frequency

by alex

The frequency is higher than that of iPhone 15 Pro, but almost 10 times lower than that of Honor Magic6 Pro

During the announcement of smartphones from the flagship Galaxy S24 line, Samsung somehow did not particularly focus on the screens (although the company, of course, mentioned increasing the brightness more than once), so many details began to be revealed after the premiere. This also applies to the PWM adjustment frequency. As it turns out now, this frequency has more than doubled.

If the PWM adjustment frequency of Samsung Galaxy S23 screens is 240 Hz, then in the Galaxy S24 line it has increased to 492 Hz. And this is more than the iPhone 15 Pro (480 Hz) and even more than the Google Pixel 8 (246 Hz). But Chinese smartphones are long ahead. Record – Honor Magic6 Pro with its 4320 Hz. But there is, for example, a much cheaper Honor 100 Pro, and it the PWM adjustment frequency reaches 3840 Hz.
