Processors with a disabled video core
AMD announced a couple of new processors in China — Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F. The letter F, as in the case of Intel processors, indicates a disabled graphics core. Judging by the photo, the CPUs will be offered in OEM versions and, probably, they will be cheaper than their analogues. That is, the Ryzen 7 8700F should be cheaper than the Ryzen 7 8700G.
Apparently, the Ryzen 7 8700F will have the same characteristics as the Ryzen 7 8700G, with the only difference being that it will have the iGPU Radeon 780M disabled. That is, we are waiting for an 8-core 16-thread processor with a frequency of 4.2 —5.1 GHz. It is difficult to say what characteristics the Ryzen 5 8400F will have, since there is no analogue with an iGPU in the AMD line. Perhaps its characteristics will be close to the Ryzen 5 8500G (6 cores, 12 threads and a frequency of up to 5.0 GHz).
