Google specialists showed awareness and helped Sony engineers fix the technical vulnerability

A team of Google engineers, who were previously able to run PlayStation Portable games on a controller with a PlayStation Portal screen without connecting to the network, helped Sony close the vulnerability.

“We were responsible and reported the vulnerability to PlayStation. “Bug fixed in update 2.06”, says Andy Nguyen, hacker and Google cloud vulnerability researcher.

Before joining Google, Nguyen hacked the PlayStation Vita and looked for vulnerabilities in the PlayStation 4.
