Some models have risen in price several times
The average cost of a used car from China has doubled, reaching 1.8 million rubles, according to a study by the automobile service «Drom».
Over the past year, the price of used Chinese cars has increased by 102%, to 1.8 million rubles. While the cost of other used cars increased by only 24%.
Changes in prices for cars of the most popular Chinese brands over the year were also studied. The most significant increase in price on the secondary market was noted for Geely models: from 925 thousand to 1.7 million rubles, that is, by 86%.
The cost of used Changan increased by an average of 79%, reaching 2.5 million rubles. Chery cars rose in price by 47%, to 2.5 million rubles. Haval cars added 10%, reaching an average price of 2.3 million rubles. Exeed became more expensive on average by only 4%, reaching 3.3 million rubles.
Among the well-known models that have risen in price very much, the Geely Emgrand EC8 (from 150 thousand to 755 thousand rubles, +408%), Changan Raeton (from 785 thousand to 2, 6 million rubles, +231%) and Changan Eado (from 520 thousand to 1.4 million rubles, +163%).
On the new car market, Geely (+16%) and Chery (+15%) increased in price the most. If we talk about popular models, we highlight Chery Tiggo 7 (from 1 million to 2.6 million rubles, +160%), Haval H6 (from 1.4 million to 2.9 million rubles, +111%) and Haval H5 ( from 2.5 million to 4.05 million rubles, +64%).
