There are only two slots for RAM modules, but the maximum capacity is 128 GB
Once upon a time, MSI had cool overclocking and relatively inexpensive motherboards from the MPower line (the latest models came out about 7 years ago), and now the company, apparently, has decided to revive the line – MSI Z790MPower introduced.
The new product is compatible with Intel Core processors 12, 13 and 14 generations. The power subsystem is serious – 15 phases and two eight-pin connectors. The VRM area is covered with heatsinks, and a separate heatsink is provided for the SSD. The inscriptions on the radiators and PCB Overclock, Frequency, MHz, Voltages and Clock make it clear what this model is intended for.
There are only two slots for RAM modules, but this is only because the emphasis is on compatibility with top DIMM strips: MSI Z790MPower supports DDR5-8000+ modules. Modules with a capacity of 64 GB are also supported, so you can get 128 GB of RAM. True, it won't be cheap.
MSI Z790MPower received two slots for installing SSD M.2, four SATA 6 Gb/s ports, one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and two PCIe 4.0 x4. There is also a module that implements Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless communications. Wired network – 2.5 Gbps
The cost of the new item – 200-230 dollars depending on the region. And this makes the MSI Z790MPower one of the most affordable models with support for serious memory overclocking.
