It can detect a person at a distance of up to 300 m, and equipment – up to 500 meters

Holding «Shvabe» State corporation Rostec has developed a new thermal imaging system for transport «Vzglyad». It is capable of detecting a human figure at a distance of up to 300 m, and at a distance of up to 500 meters it can recognize equipment even in conditions of poor visibility. The creators of the system expect that it will be useful for reconnaissance of terrain, for the protection of objects and patrolling of territories, as well as for search and rescue operations.

Complex «Look» is mounted on the roof of the vehicle and connected to a monitor located in front of the driver. The infrared image is visualized using a thermal imager with a matrix resolution of 640×512, the information is displayed on the screen in real time. The clarity of the picture when moving is ensured by a high-resolution optical system of a thermally stabilized lens with a microbolometer (infrared radiation detector).

The creators of the device note that the development, unlike other similar devices, provides high image quality, which significantly speeds up decision-making in emergency situations. Holding «Shvabe» plans to launch «Vzglyad» into mass production and produce up to 100 thousand products per year.
