In 2023, there were a lot of not very good ports released on PC. Electronic Arts managed to earn a dubious achievement as a publisher
Digital Foundry specialists sum up the technical results of 2023. We decided to remember what remarkable PC ports were presented.
We discussed the following projects (it coincided that the “top three” included all projects published by Electronic Arts):
- Wild Hearts. There are a lot of long stutters (“stuttering” of the game).
- Star Wars Jedi Survivor. Patches were released, the game became a little better, but still they couldn’t get rid of the stutters completely.
- Dead Space. Also a problem with stutters.
Also discussed:
Redfall, Forspoken and The Last of Us Part 1. These games were not pleased with their performance at release, but later the developers released patches and began to work better (there is tangible progress).
