Already in 2025
A large Kazakh car dealer holding Astana Motors announced plans to launch a multi-brand car assembly plant in 2025. The new plant will assemble cars of three Chinese brands: Chery, Changan and Haval.
As reported by Tengri Auto, one of the models that will be produced through the full cycle, including welding and painting of bodies, will be the popular frame SUV Tank 300. The production of other cars of these brands is also planned to be organized using large-unit assembly technologies . The exact production program and production volumes of various models have not yet been disclosed.
The creation of a new car assembly plant will allow Astana Motors to localize the production of Chinese brands in Kazakhstan, which are in strong demand in the local market, as well as in Russia. This should make cars more affordable for Kazakh buyers.
Astana Motors Holding is one of the leading automobile operators in Kazakhstan, with an extensive dealer network throughout the country. The creation of its own car assembly plant is intended to strengthen the company’s position in the local car market.
