Apple will lose another longtime member of its industrial design team, Bloomberg reports. Bart Andre, who worked at Apple for more than 30 years, plans to retire this year.

Andre joined Apple in 1992 along with Jony Ive and was one of the last remaining members of the design team that worked with Ive on many legendary Apple products.

Andre helped manage the design team following the 2022 departure of Evans Hankey, who served as Apple's vice president of industrial design following Ive's departure in 2019. When Ive left Apple to found LoveFrom, several designers left with him, and later other members of the design team left Apple.

After the departure of Evans Hankey, Apple eliminated the position of director of product design and restructured the product design team under the leadership of chief operating officer Jeff Williams. According to Bloomberg, some members of the design team are unhappy about being led by a non-designer.
