A system update will be released next week for Xbox consoles to resolve the save issue.
Larian reports that Xbox engineers have finally figured out why saves are regularly disappearing in the Xbox Series X|S version of Baldur's Gate 3.
On January 16, users will have the opportunity to manually download system firmware for Xbox gaming devices, which is designed to fix the problem with save files.
Larian noted that the studio did not have the opportunity to test the update, but at the same time expressed confidence in the Xbox engineers.
The Baldur's Gate 3 save issue on Xbox has been plaguing players since December 2023, and all this time Microsoft and Larian have been unable to do anything about it.
