Moskvich 3 still received a reinforced anti-corrosion coating for the body, but this is solely the initiative of the plant itself
The head of KamAZ, Sergei Kogogin, at parliamentary hearings held in Tolyatti, touched upon the burning issue of insufficient adaptation of Chinese vehicles to Russian operating conditions. And here he gave the example of «Moskvich»: according to the top manager, the project «Moskvich» showed that Chinese cars (we are talking about JAC models that were transformed into «Moskvich») «are not adapted at all» to Russia.
According to Sergei Kogogin, Western automakers (primarily European) had a completely different approach: when planning to introduce equipment to the Russian market, they carefully tested and adapted the cars.
«This is a question I ask every Chinese leader with whom we sit down [at the negotiating table]. It sounds like this: "Do you agree that Mercedes — advanced company?" — "Agree". — "So they did this, and none of you turned to either KamAZ or AvtoVAZ with proposals to conduct a test cycle"», — said Sergey Kogogin.
Recall that a couple of weeks ago «Moskvich» started collecting crossovers «Moskvich 3» using full cycle technology. Announcing this, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the car received «enhanced anti-corrosion coating of the body taking into account our climatic conditions». And now it becomes clear that this measure of adapting the machine to Russian conditions — exclusively the initiative of the plant itself.
