One of the world's largest gaming sites has publicly demonstrated that its authors have not played Arrowhead's shooter.
The IGN portal tried to create a wave of negativity against Helldivers 2, accusing the game of allowing players to purchase weapons and equipment that give an advantage in missions for real money by purchasing Warbond.
Fans of the shooter strongly disagreed with this statement and were quick to point out that if anyone at IGN had actually played Helldivers 2, they would have known that super-credits for the purchase of warbond can be found during the course of the game missions, and warbond equipment can only be exchanged for medals that are given for successfully completing missions.
The link to the publication was removed from the IGN Twitter page after users of the social networks added context that incriminates the editors of lying. Journalists then reposted, and users added new context, pointing out IGN's attempt to hide its public embarrassment.
