Xiaomi founder and chairman Lei Jun said at the delivery ceremony of the first Xiaomi SU7 machines that more than 100,000 people have placed orders, and the number of non-refundable pre-orders has exceeded 40,000.
At the delivery ceremony, Lei Jun took a group photo with the first batch of car owners and personally opened the car doors for them.
Xiaomi Motors has officially confirmed that new non-refundable pre-orders continue to be added every day, and the company plans to continue accepting them.
Earlier, China Business News, citing its own sources, reported that Xiaomi Motors recently asked its suppliers to increase production capacity to 10,000 cars per month, with an emphasis on older models.
Vehicle deliveries will begin in April.
