The Xiaomi product range now includes the first solar panel for outdoor installation. The small device is designed to work with the Xiaomi BW500 outdoor video surveillance camera. The solar panel has a power rating of 5W, and the company says high efficiency is achieved when the device is exposed to the sun for three hours daily.
The panel is protected from dust and water in accordance with the IP66 degree. The USB-C cable is also securely protected. Product cost — only 27 dollars.
As for the BW500 camera, it costs $50 and supports video recording with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels at a viewing angle of 136°. The capacity of the built-in rechargeable battery BW500 — 10 000 mA·h, declared autonomy — up to 6 months.
