It is expected that the future Xbox console from Microsoft will be equipped with an accelerator for solving artificial intelligence problems.
Journalist Jez Corden of WindowsCentral, citing reliable sources, reported that the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) in the new Xbox will be able to perform AI tasks such as Automatic Resolution Scaling (Auto SR) without taxing the processor or graphics card .
In addition, the console is expected to offer a Copilot feature that will provide assistance (such as tutorials) to players without resorting to external sites. The NPU manufacturer will most likely be AMD.
“We are testing the Xbox Virtual Support Agent, an internal prototype of an animated character that can submit requests to Xbox support using voice or text.”~ “60~/em>,” Xbox general manager of game AI Haiyang Zhang said in May.
Details about the new Xbox are shrouded in mystery, but rumors point to significant changes compared to the current generation. Microsoft is also testing Xbox Support Virtual Agent, a prototype AI bot that will make it easier and faster for gamers to receive support.
