And CPU Vera
Nviida has just confirmed that its next graphics architecture will be named after astronomer Vera Rubin. Moreover, Nvidia uses both the woman’s first and last name for the names of its GPUs.
Rubin GPUs will replace Blackwell approximately in 2026, and next year we will have Blackwell Ultra. Rubin Ultra will also appear, so this is apparently Nvidia's new approach to naming its generations.
CPU Vera is also waiting for us within the same generation. Apparently, it will replace Grace and will be used in some AI accelerators. It can also be noted that Rubin accelerators will already use HBM4 memory, that is, they will receive an impressive increase in the speed of the memory subsystem compared to Blackwell.
All of these products will not be consumer products, so it is unknown whether the next architecture for GeForce cards will also be called Rubin.
