Hackers got to the materials of the laptop manufacturer Clevo and found out about the time and details of the release NVIDIA RTX 50xx mobile video cards, new generation Intel and AMD processors and laptops with them.
NVIDIA video cards
NVIDIA plans up to six variants of RTX 50xx graphics cards for laptops. The new generation, codenamed GN22, will appear as specific products in 2025. This was revealed by the road maps of the Clevo company, which were obtained by hackers.
The RTX 50xx series will be available in six variants, codenamed X11, X9, X7, X6, X4 and X2, ranging from the best to the slowest graphics card. Clevo divided them into two groups of three options. This means that the GB203 and GB205, as well as GB206 and GB207 video cards constitute two lines that may not be pin compatible.
At the same time, NVIDIA will not stop producing RTX 4050, RTX 3050 and RTX 2050 video cards. These models will continue to be sold in 2025, but the RTX 2050 seems to be finally replaced by the RTX 3050 4 GB.
The most interesting detail concerns memory configurations. NVIDIA does not plan to release graphics cards with 6 GB of memory in the RTX 50xx series of laptop GPUs, but instead plans three 8 GB variants. There will also be two 16 GB models and one 12 GB. All of them will use GDDR7 memory. Other documents claim that NVIDIA will lower the maximum TGP for some models.

Roadmap confirms NVIDIA RTX 50xx series of laptop GPUs to launch in 2025. GN22 Board 1 will begin production in January 2025, while GN22 Board 2 will begin production in March 2025.
The next-gen CPU roadmap from Intel and AMD has also been revealed, showing when to expect Arrow Lake, Panther Lake, Strix, Krackan, and Fire Range chips in laptops.
Intel processors
Inte plans to transition its high-end HX series to the Arrow Lake-HX processor family, with 8 high-performance Lion Cove cores and 16 energy-efficient Skymon cores. These chips will be similar to the desktop Arrow Lake-S. They are expected to be released around the fourth quarter of 2024 — first quarter of 2025.
The processors will be available with a TDP of 55 W. Intel is also preparing an update to Arrow Lake-HX, which should offer new specifications and additional TOPS for artificial intelligence. The Arrow Lake-HX Refresh line is expected to debut before CES 2026.

As for the more widespread aspect, the Arrow Lake-H and Arrow Lake-U chip families will appear at the same time as Arrow Lake-HX – closer to CES 2025, after which the Arrow Lake-H line is expected to be updated only in 2-3 quarters. The Arrow Lake-H and Arrow Lake-H refresh chips will come with a TDP of 28-45W, while the Arrow Lake-U series will come with a TDP of 15W. The processors will be compatible with Meteor Lake, and Panther Lake will already switch to the new pin layout.
The Panther Lake-H and Panther Lake-U lineup will bring additional benefits to the market and will launch around CES 2026. They will likely launch first on desktops and then on laptops.
An update to the thin and light segment is also expected, which includes Intel Lunar Lake “Core Ultra 200V” chips. They will have a TDP of 17 W and will appear in the second half of this year, starting in the third quarter, which is about right.
AMD processors
Most of AMD's new next generation processors will launch in 2025. Top Fire Range processors based on Zen 5 architecture will be similar to the Ryzen 9000 Granite Ridge. The chip family will retain 16 cores and will also have X3D variants, which will be enhanced by 3D V-Cache.
The Strix Halo processors will have 16 Zen 5 cores and 45-50 TOPS, while the Strix Point family, officially announced as the Ryzen AI 300 series, will have a 12-core configuration and 50 TOPS.
Strix Point chips will arrive as early as July 2024 and until 2025. Finally, Krackan Point processors will receive only 8 cores, but will retain the same 50 TOPS. Strix Point and Krackan chips will be compatible with FP8 (LPDDR), Strix Halo — with FP11 (LPDDR5), and Fire Range — with FL1 (DDR5).
