The Russian and Chinese auto industries, which they are trying to pass off as locally produced products, are in unequal conditions, as stated by Maxim Sokolov, head of AvtoVAZ.
«All support measures – both fiscal and non-fiscal – should be aimed at the production of highly localized products. Not only the Lada brand, but also other automobile companies, including Chinese ones, for example, Haval. They are actively pursuing localization. Well done, we are happy about such competition. But when we compete by screwing on nameplates and wheels, I can responsibly declare that we are in unequal competitive conditions», — he stated.
