Today LLC «Avtozavod St. Petersburg» (previously the company was called «Lada St. Petersburg», but after the introduction of American sanctions against AvtoVAZ last fall, the domestic flagship decided to distance itself from the company) officially introduced the XCITE brand, under which the company will produce new cars. The emblem of the new brand is already known: AvtoVAZ registered it a week ago.
It is reported that several thousand cars have already been assembled – this is the first batch. Now we are accumulating stock for the start of sales, which is scheduled for spring of this year. The plant will gradually increase the rate of car assembly; negotiations are currently underway with the largest dealer networks in Russia.
«Avtozavod St. Petersburg» plans to talk about the first model at the end of February, at which time prices will be announced. But judging by what is already known, the first XCITE car will be the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, production of which began at the former Russian Nissan plant late last year. It is logical to think that a car with a Russian VIN number should be cheaper than a Chinese-made car.
