The GAC Toyota joint venture has launched the updated Toyota Sienna minivan on the Chinese market — sample of the 2024 model year. The car has changed in the same vein as the previously presented Toyota Granvia 2024 from JV FAW Toyota — these are clone cars.
Key innovation of the Toyota Sienna 2024 interior — new media system. It is built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 SoC, has 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory, supports Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar and Baidu CarLife interfaces.
The second row seats have become more comfortable: three-stage heating and ventilation adjustment and a 16-point massager have appeared. Also, USB-C ports were added to the rear passengers.
Technical innovation — all-wheel drive, implemented using two electric motors. The traction between them can be distributed in proportions from 100: 0 (front-wheel drive) to 20: 80 (most of the traction — on the rear wheels).
The power plant is still hybrid, with a 2.5-liter engine producing 189 hp. Declared consumption (according to the WLTC calculation method) — 5.65–6.13 l/100 km.
The base 2024 Toyota Sienna is priced at $39.3 thousand. The cheapest all-wheel drive version costs 44.3 thousand dollars, the price of the top version (and it has front-wheel drive) — 54.6 thousand dollars. Prices were 3.5 thousand dollars lower than the prices of Toyota Sienna 2023.
