The Cabinet of Ministers of India approved the state initiative IndiaAI, which is designed to «make artificial intelligence work for India». 

Through the initiative, India intends to create a comprehensive ecosystem to accelerate innovation in artificial intelligence through strategic programs and partnerships in the public and private sectors.  

Third-party sources write that India is going to create a supercomputer with at least 10,000 GPUs, but the government website states that an AI ecosystem will be created with that many GPUs. That is, it could be several supercomputers or a large number of different systems, with a total of 10,000 or more GPUs.  

Also, as part of the initiative, the IndiaAI innovation center will be created, a program for developing IndiaAI applications will be launched, the state will finance startups in this area and strengthen the educational sector in the field of AI.
