At least StartAllBack and ExplorerPatcher were hit
Microsoft has decided to start fighting applications that allow you to customize the appearance of Windows to a greater extent than the OS itself allows.
After updating Windows, you can no longer run such applications. Moreover, the system blocks updating to newer versions.
StartAllBack — a popular tool for customizing the taskbar and Start menu in Windows 11. Also ExplorerPatcher no longer works — quite a popular application that allows you to bring back the old Windows 10 taskbar in Windows 11 and make additional changes. After Windows 11 24H2 update, ExplorerPatcher software is marked as incompatible due to «security or performance issues».
However, this is Windows, so users have workaround options. In particular, for now it is enough to simply rename the executable file. If you need to upgrade to a newer version, you can uninstall the application and then run it using the renamed executable file.
