The Resident Evil series continues to be trashed on Steam due to Capcom's new DRM protection

The Resident Evil franchise has a strong reputation overall (outside of multiplayer titles), but Capcom's recent experimentation has led to some losses

Capcom is experimenting with the new Enigma security system. It appears in various old games of the company, some of which have long been forgotten by many.

The reaction is quite expected: Capcom receives a surge of negative reviews on Steam, directly related to the scandalous DRM Enigma. The stream of dissatisfied players has not yet dried up; reviews of the publisher’s games continue to be fired back.

For example, the Resident Evil series of games is under attack. Resident Evil Revelations, as the most famous victim of DRM Enigma, has recently received over 80% negative reviews. The original RE, Resident Evil 5 and 6 have mixed reviews. More modern games in the series still have positive ratings on Steam, but there are also negative reviews mentioning the new DRM.
