Baldur's Gate 3 showed the video game potential of the Dungeons & Dragons. Hasbro has clearly noticed this.
The release of Baldur’s Gate 3 was a huge success not only for the creators from Larian. Hasbro, which owns the rights to BG (and the Dungeons & Dragons franchise in general), intends to invest heavily.
Hasbro is expected to invest in the development of AAA games about 1 billion dollars: this amount will be distributed among Hasbro studios that are making various projects.
The events of some projects take place in the Dungeons & Dragons, but not all – there will be something new.
It is known that Archetype will receive investments: the studio is leading the development of the first parts of Mass Effect; and also Invoke Studio: engaged in some kind of “big game” of D&D.
