It is created for visually impaired and blind clients

Bank «Tinkoff» announced the launch of the Tinkoff Black tactile debit card. The company stated that this is the first bank card in Russia designed for visually impaired and blind clients. The new card supports the payment system «Mir».

According to a study by Tinkoff, people with visual impairments often have to ask others for help when using bank cards, risking their financial security. In addition, visually impaired and blind users have to put bank and transport cards in different pockets, remember the features of their surface and write down the card data in large print on a piece of paper.

The Tinkoff Black tactile card can be used without these additional steps, the bank noted. The wave-shaped notch on the short side allows you to find the card without looking and insert it correctly into the ATM. The kit includes a special card holder that will help you find the card faster. Increased contrast and larger fonts will help people with visual impairments and difficulties in perceiving colors.
