She fell out at full speed
A preliminary investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has found that a hatch plug that fell out during the flight of an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 was not secured by bolts.
Experts found no signs of damage or deformation around the bolt holes. This indicates that the bolts that were supposed to hold the plug were not in place at the time of the incident.
NTSB also reported that all systems operated normally during cabin decompression, and the investigation is ongoing.
It is worth adding that at the end of January, The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported that the doors required to secure the airline's Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft were not installed in place when the plane left the Boeing plant.
Recall that in early January, the Boeing 737 MAX 9 was forced to return to Portland Airport due to depressurization. After which, 171 Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft were grounded in the USA. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) temporarily limited the expansion of production of Boeing 737 MAX airliners due to the scandal.
