“Chinese Nissan Navara” turned into an SUV, received an electric version

Dongfeng, which produces cars under the Nissan brand in China (of course, as part of the Dongfeng Nissan joint venture), has certified a new version of the Palaso SUV – electric. What’s interesting for us is that last year a regular Palaso with a gasoline engine was introduced in Russia. Does this mean that the electric Palaso will also be able to enter the Russian market?

There is no answer to this question yet, but there are characteristics of the electric car. Palaso EV received a power plant with two electric motors with a total power of 245 hp. and, accordingly, there is all-wheel drive. External distinctive features of the electric Palaso – Dongfeng emblem on a blue background and a blank radiator grille.

У анонсированного в прошлом году в России Nissan Palaso появилась новая полноприводная версия: 245 л.с. и запас хода 411 км

The capacity of the traction battery was 77.28 kW·h, the declared range on one charge – 411 km. However, it is measured using the CLTC method, which is not particularly relevant to actual operating conditions. The question also arises regarding the placement of the traction battery: if the car was simply converted from gasoline to electric, then the traction battery is probably installed outside the base, and this does not have the best effect on handling.

The presence of a certificate from the Ministry of Industry gives Dongfeng the right to launch an SUV into mass production. The price is unknown, but usually electric versions are more expensive than gasoline ones.
