This is the first official confirmation of production in Russia of the Citroen C5 Aircross

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has expanded the list of Russian-made vehicles recommended for government procurement. It now includes 35 models from 12 automakers. In the latest edition, 13 models have been added to the list at once: the entire current line of brands BAIC, Kaiyi and SWM (all these cars are produced by Avtotor), Amberauto A5 (also «Avtotor») and Citroen C5 Aircross.

The full list now looks like this:

  • Lada Vesta, Vesta SW Cross, Granta, Niva Legend, Niva Travel;
  • «Moskvich 3», «Moskvich 3е», «Moskvich 6»;
  • UAZ «Patriot», «Pickup», «Profi», «Hunter», «Loaf& raquo;, «Tadpole»;
  • Sollers ST6;
  • Evolute i-Pro, i-Joy, i-Sky, i-Jet;
  • Haval Jolion, Dargo, F7, F7x, H9, M6;
  • Aurus Senat, Aurus Komendant;
  • Kaiyi E5, X3 Pro, X3, X7;
  • BAIC U5 Plus, X35, X55, BJ40 Plus, X7;
  • «Amberauto A5»;
  • SWM G05 Pro, G01;
  • Citroen C5 Aircross.
It's even cheaper in Russia than in Europe. Redmi 13C 4G entered the European market with a price starting from 150 euros

The last position is the most interesting, since it has never been previously reported at the official level that the Citroen C5 Aircross is being assembled in Russia. But Reuters recently reported on this.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade clarified that the recommended list includes cars with a Russian VIN number that are produced in Russia under special investment contracts (SPIC) in accordance with localization obligations.
