In terms of durability, Russian aircraft should not differ from Boeing airliners

The United Aircraft Corporation believes that the newest Russian passenger airliners — SSJ-New and MS-21 — will turn out to be as resourceful as Boeing airliners.

«Those Boeings that are currently being produced will continue to fly until the end of the 21st century. We really hope that domestic aircraft will have the same operating cycle», — said the head of the UAC Yuri Slyusar. He added that on average, the operation of an aircraft can last up to 50-60 years.

Recall that last week the government changed the delivery dates for Russian passenger  aircraft: SSJ-New certification was postponed to 2025, deliveries of Il-114 — for 2026.
