All-wheel drive Geely Radar RD6 will be able to directly charge electric vehicles

The Geely Radar RD6 electric pickup truck debuted last year, but in the simplest rear-wheel drive version with a single 272 hp motor. And only now Geely is preparing for the premiere of the all-wheel drive version. According to Radar brand head Ling Shiquan, the all-wheel drive Radar RD6 will hit the market in the second quarter of 2024.

The power of the all-wheel drive version has not been reported, but we can think that it will exceed 400 hp. According to Radar's top manager, the dynamics of the Radar RD6 will be at the level of a Tesla Cybertruck: with cargo in the trunk, the pickup will accelerate to 100 km/h in about 4 seconds. And in terms of ford depth, the all-wheel drive Radar RD6 will outperform the Hummer EV (for the American car this parameter is 813 mm).

A four-wheel drive vehicle will have more payload – 865 kg versus 430 kg for the single-wheel drive version. Also, the all-wheel drive Radar RD6 will be able to tow heavier trailers – weighing up to 3 tons. And one more interesting feature of the all-wheel drive Radar RD6: it can not only power electrical appliances (not only with a voltage of 220 V, but also 380 V), but also directly charge electric vehicles.
