The model is expected to be released in 2024
The executive business-class sedan Lada Aura is now planning to be sold to private individuals, as AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov told reporters.
«Of course, believe me, there is already great demand from federal and regional executive authorities for Lada Aura. They even want to dismantle our experimental batch. <…> Of course, we also plan to supply it to, relatively speaking, the private sector. And I’m sure that he will find his buyers», — stated Maxim Sokolov.
Earlier, the head of the company noted that Lada Aura is planned to be supplied to the public sector. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation confirmed that the department plans to purchase Lada Aura for the needs of officials.
Vice President for External Relations and Interaction with AvtoVAZ Shareholders Sergei Gromak has already announced that the company may begin production of the Lada Aura sedan in September 2024.
This is an extended sedan on the Vesta platform, which is 25 cm longer in wheelbase, it has improved sound insulation, a retractable rear armrest, a genuine leather interior and a premium audio system. The equipment includes a 1.8-liter 122-horsepower engine, which works with a CVT.
The President of AvtoVAZ also added that the company could enter the Russian market with a new brand in 2024.
