Undead Labs has released two games so far – State of Decay in 2013 and State of Decay 2 in 2018 – and the team is still working on the next zombie adventure. It is unknown when the game will be released, but an interesting situation deserves attention.
Animator Daniel Floyd left the Microsoft team in early 2023, but recently updated his LinkedIn account to say he was working on an as-yet unannounced game. By the time Floyd left the studio, Undead Labs had already confirmed work on State of Decay 3, so it seems that the developer was busy creating another game.
This is curious, since players have been waiting for a full presentation of State of Decay 3 for three years now. It is still difficult to guess when these games will be shown.
