Publishing explicit Baldur's Gate 3 content on the Xbox platform is causing big problems for players
Players in Baldur’s Gate 3 began to receive bans. The fact is that by default, gameplay recording on a Microsoft console is sent to the public domain and it so happens that some explicit moments (or naked characters) of Baldur's Gate 3 can get into the frame.
You cannot publish something like this in the Xbox community; penalties will be imposed. Recently, a Baldur's Gate 3 player was banned for an entire year, leaving him unable to access online.
Larian is aware of the issue and intends to stand up for the Baldur's Gate 3 community members.
Publishing Director Michael Dawes stated:
“We have seen reports that some players have been banned or faced other problems on Xbox by posting screenshots/videos of “gameplay content”. We are discussing this with Microsoft and looking into it. It's annoying, not cool“.
One Baldur's Gate 3 player who suffered from a ban has already reported that the punishment has been lifted.
