The creators of Atomic Heart continue to demonstrate a unique attitude towards the Russian-speaking community
In 2024, the authors of Atomic Heart celebrate the first birthday of the game. Even on such a significant date there were some troubles.
The fact is that the Mundfish team presented holiday art in the Atomic Heart community. The main character was brought a stylish cake, but it was not the sweetness that attracted attention, but the inscription on the table.
One of the members of the Russian-speaking community drew attention to the inscription in English “Happy Birthday” and asked a question to the developers about the marketing style (and also didn’t forget to praise them for the rest of the work done):
“It’s weak to put “Happy Birthday” on the table, in a game about an alternative USSR, for the RU community?
But, in any case case – happy birthday. You guys are great.”
He wonders why Mundfish doesn’t use Russian for congratulations (in the picture):
“This is a staged shot. There are a lot of assumptions in it. However, why not make an authentic, native and pleasing congratulatory text in Russian, which fits into the universe as much as possible, and (sort of) is addressed to the Russian-speaking community – I don’t understand.”
