Xinghai S7
Dongfeng Forthing has officially unveiled the all-electric Xinghai S7 sedan, which will cost between $18,000 and $27,000.
The new car is built on the S2-E platform from Dongfeng. According to the Chinese regulator, the dimensions of the Xinghai S7 are 4935 x 1915 x 1495 mm, and the wheelbase is 2915 mm. Its curb weight is 1730 kg.
It is equipped with a TZ200XS3F0 electric motor with a power of 160 kW and a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 56.832 kWh. The maximum speed is 165 km/h, and the CLTC range can reach 550 km. During acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h — 6.67 seconds. With fast charging, it takes 27 minutes to charge the battery from 30% to 80%.
The Xinghai S7 has a fastback design with retractable door handles, frameless doors, chrome windows and five-spoke wheels. The car will also be equipped with front radar, side radar and a windshield camera, which means advanced driving assistance capabilities.
Xinghai S7 has a drag coefficient of 0.195Cd. Xu Dantao, executive director of IM Motors Creative Design Center, criticized the Xinghai S7 after the announcement of this car due to its similarity with the IM L7.
