If only all automakers fought inflation like this
Jeep has announced US pricing for its 2024 Grand Cherokee SUV, and it comes as a big surprise: the car has dropped in price. Moreover, the top-end configuration has fallen in price the most – for $4595.
Typically, cars from a new model year are more expensive than cars from the previous model year, but Jeep broke that “tradition.” The company itself explained the price reduction as “the fight against rising inflation.”
The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee has nine trim levels on the domestic market, and most of them (Laredo, Laredo X, Altitude, Altitude X) have become $2,000 more affordable (from 40 to 425 for Laredo up to 45 530 for Altitude X). The Limited trim level has fallen in price by $3,500 ($48,295 instead of $51 795), the Overland (4WD) and Summit (4WD) trim levels have fallen in price by $4,000 (to $63,385 and $64,950, respectively). Well, the top-end Grand Cherokee 2024 costs 68,835 versus 73,430 for the same top-end version of last year’s model.
It is important to note that although the SUV has fallen in price, the contents of the trim levels or characteristics have not changed.
