Tesla Autopilot saved a man's life by taking him to the hospital in critical condition

Although a person could just call an ambulance

North Carolina producer MaxPaul Franklin talks about how his Tesla Model Y may have saved his life. At the very least, she definitely took part in the process.

Briefly, on the night of April 2, Franklin began to feel ill due to the failure of his insulin pump and the resulting low blood sugar levels. He got to his car and turned on the autopilot mode, after which the car took him to the hospital completely independently. The highlight of the story is that literally a day before, Tesla opened a month-long test of the FSD autopilot for all owners in the USA.

On April 1, Tesla opened up full self-driving capability to all Tesla vehicles in America. In a moment of urgency, at 2am the next morning, I found myself suffering from severe dehydration and blood glucose levels due to a malfunctioning insulin pump. With no time to spare, I turned to my Model Y for help. Enabling the new Full Self-Driving feature with a simple double-click of the steering column switch, I was amazed at the results. Without any intervention, the car expertly made the 13-mile journey from my home to the VA emergency room and parked itself upon arrival, allowing me to immediately seek medical attention. As an owner of luxury cars including Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Acura and Cadillac, I can unequivocally declare Tesla to be the pinnacle of automotive innovation today. Her ability to save lives at critical moments underscores excellence. The transition from traditional cars to Tesla's full self-driving capabilities is similar to the transition from a basic phone to a smartphone. I commend Elon Musk for his mad leadership in developing technologies that go beyond just transportation. He has had a profound impact on our world and my own personally. Thank you, Tesla, and thank you to the team at the Charles George VA Medical Center!

Musk, by the way, responded to Franklin’s story, writing that he was glad that the Tesla FSD function helped a person in such a situation.

There are also a lot of reviews on the Internet from other Tesla owners who say that the updated version of FSD behaves much better.
