How the transfer of Lada Largus production affected the quality of the cars and what we had to save on, the editor-in-chief of «Behind the wheel» decided to find out. Maxim Kadakov, who visited the production line and inspected the assembly of machines.
I walked along the conveyor belt and carefully looked at the cars. In my opinion – didn't save a single ruble. The gaps on the body panels are even throughout. All exterior body panels, including the roof – made of galvanized steel.

He added that there is a “huge amount of mastic” on the body, on almost all welds: “They took this very seriously even under Renault-Nissan. Anti-noise mats are glued to the floor, anti-corrosive material is poured into the cavity – everything is in the right mind».
Previously it became known that the new Lada Largus received a modified suspension that will last without repair after a greater mileage than the original car. The previous Lada Largus received a reliable and durable suspension from the Renault Logan MCV, but it had one drawback: the ball joint could fail after only 30-40 thousand kilometers. The service life of the ball joint is now 100 thousand kilometers, and its replacement is possible without replacing the lever.
This year it is planned to produce up to 50,000 Lada Largus, including the localized Russian electric car e-Largus. Next year, production volume is planned to be increased to 100,000 units.
Sales of the new Lada Largus of the 2024 model year will start in the near future, with the starting price being 1,660,000 rubles for the passenger version and 1,670,000 rubles for the commercial van.
