The giant launch vehicle will be tested in the next few days
The space company SpaceX continues to prepare for the next test flight of its giant Starship rocket. The press office said Starship's first stage, a 33-engine Super Heavy booster, has been moved to the Starbase launch site in Boca Chica for testing before its next launch.
Super Heavy is now preparing for a pre-launch static fire test, during which 33 Raptor engines will «fire» for a few seconds while the launch vehicle itself is fixed on the pad.
Previously, SpaceX conducted static tests of the second stage, the Starship spacecraft. The next launch should be the fourth in Starship history. It is scheduled for early May 2024. As SpaceX hopes, this time the Super Heavy launch vehicle will be able to lift the Starship spacecraft into orbit.
