The remaster in an expanded version includes a new stand-alone campaign dedicated to Shadow, and will be released before the end of 2024.
Sega has declared 2024 the year of Shadow the Hedgehog. Earlier this year, the company announced Sonic X Shadow the Hedgehog, an expanded remaster of the 2011 3D platformer Sonic Generations with a new standalone campaign centered around Shadow the Hedgehog. A specific release date other than Fall 2024 has not yet been announced, but the game's recent age rating from the South Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) suggests that the game is in its final stages of development and is nearing launch.
Sonic X Shadow Generations will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
