Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic came out quite a long time ago, but is still of some interest today. For the classics, BioWare decided to release Russian dubbing

KotOR Russian Project was decided to be “reanimated” in 2024. In 2020, enthusiasts released a beta version of the Russian voice acting of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, and then support for the project was suspended.

Now the authors of the KotOR Russian Project intend to “…to add voice to some of the unvoiced characters and to re-voice that part of the characters that, in our opinion and the view of the audience after open beta testing, either did not match the characters’ voices, or, due to poor equipment at the time of recording, were very different from the main cast. Time does not stand still, the quality of voice acting is improving and we want to match“.

«Our project has never raised funds for development, only a few people could donate the nth amount for development. All work was done with a “thank you.” However, nowadays, things have changed a bit in the voice acting industry. And in order to attract human resources capable of producing a quality product, some kind of money is necessary. Currently, all monetary costs fall on the creators of the project….”
