«Russian Post» and the company «EvoCargo» began testing an autonomous truck at the logistics center «Vnukovo-2». The Evocargo N1 electric truck will be tested for a month; it will transport postal items automatically in the territory of the logistics center. The vehicle's carrying capacity is 2 tons, and the range on a single charge reaches 200 km.
The Evocargo N1 electric truck is equipped with a fifth-generation autopilot system, which means it does not require a driver in the cab to move. Autonomous driving technology allows you to accurately determine the position of the car in space, plan a safe speed and predict movement taking into account the surrounding environment. The control center for such a machine is the simplest: the operator can sit anywhere with a laptop.
