Federal State Unitary Enterprise «NAMI» controlled by the Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued Vehicle Type Approval for the heavy electric motorcycle Aurus Merlon. The issuance of OTTS automatically gives the right to start selling new products. Last year, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov announced the timing of Merlon's entry into the market: the end of 2024 — early 2025.

According to preliminary data, Aurus Merlon will receive a 190-horsepower electric motor and a traction battery with a capacity of 21 kW·h, the power reserve will be about 200 km. Feature of the motorcycle — in the possibility of equipping with a stroller and the ability to work at air temperatures up to –25 °C.
