Capcom has decided to start working on a new big-budget Resident Evil film. According to reports, work on this film is underway at the Screen Gems studio.
The Insider Fandom portal received information from anonymous sources that it considers reliable. The new Resident Evil movie will have a big budget, certainly higher than what the production company and video game franchise's recent films have had.
Report says Screen Gems is responding not only for the production of the film, but also for its distribution. It is unknown whether the film will be a direct continuation of Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (the last film in the series), but it can be assumed that it could be something new, given the poor reception of the public and critics.
