Even the campaign in Black Ops 6 cannot be completed without a constant connection to the network

The developers said that the game will use texture streaming to take up less storage space

Activision has warned that playing Black Ops 6 will require a constant and stable Internet connection – even if you only play through the story campaign. This is necessary for streaming textures and saving disk space.

The developers also announced that on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, users will be able to play together in split-screen mode, but on Xbox One and PS4, similar functionality will not be available for technical reasons.

Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Game Pass.
