The first is an improved one, but this is already the sixth C919
in the air carrier’s fleet
China Eastern Airlines announced the receipt of its sixth mainline passenger airliner, the COMAC C919, and it differs from the five previously delivered aircraft. The sixth copy (tail number B-919G) received improvements in terms of equipping the cockpit and entertainment system for passengers. But what exactly are the improvements — not reported.
In just one year, China Eastern Airlines received six C919 — COMAC plans to seriously expand the production of the airliner and reach the production of 150 units per year. The airline has a contract for the supply of hundreds of COMAC C919s until 2030, and four more units are expected to be delivered by the end of this year. A representative of the airline said that after receiving all the aircraft, the C919 will form the basis of the fleet; it will be used on important business routes and tourist routes.
