As we approach the launch of Men of War 2, various nuances of the distribution of the new strategy are emerging
Men of War 2 is scheduled for release on May 15, 2024. The release date of the real-time strategy has been postponed several times.
Recently, the developers talked about bonuses for early buyers of Men of War 2. This is far from the only nuance of the launch.
Some concern is caused by the fact that now Men of War 2 is completely tied to online, but the developers heard the community and started working on an offline mode for a single player game (will appear after release):
“We would like to warn you right away that Men of War 2 will require a constant connection to the Internet at release, but the development team is already working hard on an offline mode without being tied to servers. From the very beginning, the game was designed so that we could easily update leaderboards, player rewards (including for actions in single-player and co-op content), and prevent unscrupulous players from using cheats. However, we have heard your concerns in this regard and are already working on a solution that will allow you to play the single-player portion of Men of War 2, as well as mods, without requiring a constant Internet connection“.
The authors of Men of War 2 will immediately open access to the modification editor and the first Lost Eagles mod upon release:
“You will be immersed in an alternate history that tells of the failure of Operation Overlord, and a small detachment of surviving American soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division, led by Jason Baker, who must fight for their lives deep behind enemy lines. This modification was originally developed for Men of War: Assault Squad 2, but in this case you will get access to a full-fledged remake with an expanded plot, new characters and corrections of many technical flaws of the original.”
