Yuri Borisov told about this
Roscosmos General Director Yuri Borisov said that by the end of the year the state corporation plans to carry out more than 40 launches.
«Over 40. But plans always remain plans. Last year we planned a larger number of launches. But, unfortunately, due to a number of objective circumstances, we were not able to fully execute the launch program», — said Borisov.
To avoid postponements, measures were taken last year, and this year they continue to take measures to ensure rhythmic joint work of the enterprises of the state corporation: «The main task for this year is the implementation of the entire launch program».
Last year, Roscosmos conducted 19 launches of Russian space rockets, including 17 launches of launch vehicles of the Soyuz-2 family. and two launches of the Proton-M launch vehicle.
He added that Roscosmos expects to renew its fleet of launch vehicles in the coming years: «I hope that somewhere at the turn of 2028-2029 we will renew the fleet of launch vehicles and will be able to restore our positions on the global launch services market».
In addition, Borisov said that in the near future construction of a launch complex for the promising launch vehicle Amur-LNG will begin at the Vostochny Cosmodrome.
