An executive has cleared up doubts about Capcom's AAA title's target frame rate. He didn't go into detail, leaving some confusion regarding graphics modes on consoles.
While PC gamers will have unlimited framerates, console gamers usually prefer a fixed framerate for stability, be it 30FPS or 60FPS.
The game appears to be aiming for 60FPS on consoles, even if it misses the mark. It remains to be seen whether Dragon's Dogma 2 will be locked to 30FPS on consoles.
Director Hideaki Itsuno's last major release came out with a similar setting on base consoles of the previous generation. Devil May Cry 5 aimed for 60FPS, but during intense scenes the game often dropped below that mark.
Dragon's Dogma 2 seems to be following the same strategy, although judging by the trailer and preview, the drops will be more severe.
Since the release date role-playing game is getting closer, Capcom should reveal final PC specs closer to March 22nd.
